Did you know Community Closet Thrift Store founder and CEO Caron Cooper gave a PechaKucha Bozeman talk? And what the heck is PechaKucha?
PechaKucha (Japanese: [petɕa ku͍̥tɕa], meaning chit-chat) is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights. The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham and the first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in 2003. Pecha Kucha Nights are now held in nearly 1,000 cities worldwide. Each PechaKucha Night is run by a city organizer; learn more about Bozeman’s PechaKucha group at their website.
