Where Fashion Meets Philanthropy
Behind the racks of second hand goods in our award-winning, small-town thrift store is one of the largest charitable foundations in Park County Montana, an area bigger than the state of Delaware.
The Community Closet along with our extension project, the Curated Closet is redefining the business model for both pollution prevention and philanthropic second-hand sales. Since its opening in October of 2005, the thrift store has given away $850,000 in cash grants and over $100,000 in merchandise donations to local non-profits, community organizations, and events, as well as individuals in need throughout Park County. Store merchandise is also given to schools and other non-profits at no cost. Vouchers are given to those who cannot afford needed purchases.
